Exceed (verb)

Meaning – to be greater in number or size than something else.

Example of using it in a sentence "Nicola’s speed, whilst out cycling, exceeded the road sign limit.”

Synonyms: overreach, pass, top

It can also mean – to be better than something.

Example of using it in a sentence "Henry’s cake was exceedingly good.”

Synonyms: surpass, outdo, out strip, outshine, outclass

Spelling Tip: Remember it is a 'c' and not a 's'
