cocoon and tenderhooks
Cocoon
meaning a silken case spun by many insects to protect the pupae stage.
c + o + c + oo + n
the first o makes the short 'oo' sound found in book. The 'oo' makes the longer 'oo' in moon.
Ten +ter + hooks
meaning a hook used to fasten cloth on a drying frame or the feeling you get when waiting for something to happen.
The second 't' sounds like a 'd'
